HUBBALLI: Hours after he released a video clip, Wasim Pathan has been taken into custody by the Hubballi police in connection with the violence that erupted on April 16.
Pathan was absconding after the Hubballi violence and was facing allegations that he provoked the mob to hurl stones on the night of the incident.
According to reports, the Hubballi-Dharwad police brought Wasim Pathan to the Old-Hubballi police station from Bengaluru on Thursday afternoon.
In a video clip released on Thursday morning, Wasim Pathan has claimed that he was trying to pacify the mob and not provoking them.
