Tumkur,June 20: Two persons were killed among five in a road accident when the car they were travelling and KSRTC bus collided early this morning on National Highway No.206 at Doddaguni village in Gubbi Taluk of Tumkur district.
The deceased identified as Girish (37) and Manya ( 17 ). Three others in the car and 10 bus passengers are injured and are admitted to hospital.
A case has been registered in Gubbi police station jurisdiction.

Road accidents are increasing. But in most cases people are getting seriously injured or killed because they are not wearing seat belt. some of the cars have airbags but it doesn’t activate because seat belt is not put on. Please do some public awareness programs at highway tolls and petrol pumps to educate people to wear seat belt to save their lives.
