HUBBALLI,May01: In an embarrassing development, the newly inaugurated toy train derailed on very first trip, with dignitaries on board!
The Toy Train, developed at the cost of Rs. 4.2 Crore, was launched on Saturday as part of the smart city project.
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, former CM Jagadish Shettar, DC Nitesh Patil and several other dignitaries were on board to take first ride. But the train derailed after moving for 100 meters. The reason for derailment is not confirmed.
Several projects like upgraded Mahatma Gandhi Park, Upgraded Indira Glass House, Musical Fountain, Puzzle Parking were inaugurated today.
