For a second straight day, as many as 10 Covid-19 patients succumbed to the deadly infection and over 900 people were infected with the coronavirus on Thursday across the Dharwad district.
According to the bulletin issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department, the district reported 955 fresh cases of coronavirus on
Thursday. So far, 47,757 people have tested positive for the novel coronavirus in the district.
On the brighter side, 954 Covid patients were discharged after they completely recovered. As on Thursday, 40,451 people have defeated
the coronavirus and 826 people lost the Covid battle in the district.
Gadag district continued to record over 400 cases on Thursday also. The district reported 469 fresh cases, while 327 people got discharged after recovery. Gadag added five more to its causalities list, which is counting 202 deaths so far.
Haveri saw 321 new cases on Thursday while reporting 8 deaths due to Covid-19 complications.
Belagavi saw 948 fresh cases; however, this was the only district in the region to see no Covid-related death.
