DHARWAD: Covid-19 cases showing no signs of dropping in Dharwad as the district recorded 965 fresh cases on Saturday, May 8, according to the bulletin issued by the Health and Family Welfare.
With these new figures, the district recorded a total of 37,149 cases of the deadly infection, while there are 5,694 active cases.
On the brighter side, 812 coronavirus infected persons have recovered on Saturday. However, two persons have succumbed to the deadly infection.
A total of 3,883 people were vaccinated on Saturday. They included 1,412 first dose and 2,471 second dose. So far, 2,76,223 people have been vaccinated in the district.
In Haveri, 10 Covid deaths, and 169 cases were reported. Gadag recorded 341 new Covid cases and two deaths, and Belagavi reported 991 fresh cases and an equal number of fatalities.
