DHARWAD, Oct 04: The Dharwad Rural police intercepted a private bus coming from Mumbai to Hubballi and seized gold and silver items at Narendra Cross off Dharwad on Thursday.
As per police, gold and silver articles were being transported in two bags from Mumbai to Hubballi in a private bus without any valid documents.
The owner of the articles, Bhavarsingh (36) of Mumbai, boarded the bus on Wednesday night from Mumbai. Based on a tip-off the local police intercepted the bus at Narendra bypass and on inspection found 940 grams gold and 12 kg silver in two bags.
The police said that they are interrogating the owner to elicit information about the source of gold and silver.
