Hubballi, Nov 24: A woman from Hubballi remained helpless when an unidentified fraudster siphoned off Rs. 5.65 lkah from her bank account.
The fraudster reportedly came in contact with the woman when she searched for a customer care number in Google to unblock her Facebook account.
When she contacted him, he asked her to install the AnyDesk app on her mobile, and from there he managed to get transferred Rs 1.70 lakh, Rs 75,000, and Rs 3.20 lakh from three different bank accounts.
A case has been registered with the CEN police station in the City.
