HUBBALLI: The newly upgraded Bengeri Market was inaugurated today.
The market, spread across 12700 sq. mtrs area, was developed under the Hubballi Dharwad smart city project.
Rs. 6.41 Cr project includes space for 26 shops and 400 decks for weekly markets. The market also has space for holding events with capacity of 800 persons.
Apart from weekly markets, the market is useful for organizing exhibitions, cultural programs, yoga-meditation events & walking.
The market has park and other facilities like CCTV, electricity, drinking water, washrooms, LED Display Board, Solid Waste collection facilities. The parking space accommodates 50 two-wheelers and 25 four wheelers at a time.
