New RTO Office Inaugurated in Hubballi

HUBBALLI, Mar 7: Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy inaugurated the newly built Hubballi (Dharwad East) Regional Transport Office (RTO) office building at Gabbur in Hubballi on Wednesday.

Addressing mediapersons after inaugurating, Reddy said the twin cities people from Dharwad district have been visiting the Navanagar RTO office, which has the district’s lone driving test track, to give driving tests.

“There is a demand for another driving test track and it will be provided to the newly started Hubballi RTO office in 3-4 acres,” he said.

“MLA Prasad Abbayya had proposed for a new RTO office to facilitate people of Hubballi. Now the new RTO office has been constructed at the cost of Rs eight crore. Soon the government will identify 3-4 acres of land and give consent for a driving test track, he said.

Hubballi-Dharwad East MLA Prasad Abbayya said, the new RTO office has been constructed on one acre and 20 gunta land with an estimated cost of Rs eight crore. The new RTO office will be helping lakhs of people in the days to come.

District incharge minister Santosh Lad, NWKRTC managing director Bharat S, Regional Transport Commissioner Maruthi Sambrani, Transport Joint Director Omkareshwari M T, RTO Damodar, and others were present.
