Leopard Scare: Holidays Declared For 12 More Schools In Hubballi

HUBBALLI: With the forest officials intensifying the search operation for a leopard near Nruptunga Betta in the City, Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil has declared holidays for 12 more schools that come in the vicinity of Nruptunga Betta.

In a release, the DC said that already physical classes of Kendriya Vidyalaya of Raj Nagar had been suspended following the leopard scare. “From tomorrow, September 22, schools located in Shiradi nagar, Chamundeshari nagar, Santosh nagar, Ashok nagar, Vishweshwar nagar and surrounding areas must remain closed until further orders,” the DC ordered.

The order would also be applicable for JK School, DK School, Chaitra Convent, VS Pillay School, NK Thakkar School, and other schools in the surrounding areas.

“These schools can continue with the online classes and students must not come to schools until the leopard search operation is completed,” DC Nitesh Patil ordered.
