Hubballi,July 15: After a passenger who was traveling in a KSRTC bus died in an accident but the due compensation was not paid, the court staff confiscated an Airavat Bus and parked it in front of the Hubballi court as per the court warrant.
Devappa Kulkarni died in an accident in between Navlagund, Hubballi in 2019. The deceased driver’s mother, Mrs. Shanthava Karaveerappa Kulkarni, had approached the Second High Court of the city. The court had directed to pay a compensation of 28 lakhs with 6% interest.
Even though a warrant was given to the KSRTC, no compensation was given. In this context, the court staff seized the KA 17, F 1945 vehicle today based on the seizure warrant.
They have brought and parked in front of the court. Arun Patil advocated for the deceased passenger.
