HUBBALLI: The students of Karnataka State Law University (KSLU) have intensified their protest as the strike entered the eighth day on Monday.
According to sources, a student Mahantesh, one of the four students on hunger strike, fell ill and his condition was serious. Navanagar police sub inspector Hemanth reportedly took the student to the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences for the treatment.
A report has mentioned that Mahantesh had gastric problem which affected his heart as well. Anyhow, he is said to be out of danger.
The main demand of the students is that KSLU is insisting on holding offline examinations of the previous semesters now, after promoting them to the next semester. This was despite the fact that different modes of holding examinations, including the online mode, had been permitted by competent authorities.
