Jamat’s Seerath Campaign Ends With Positive Note

HUBBALLI: Jamat e Islami Hind City unit’s ten-day-long seerath campaign under the theme ‘Prophet Muhammad As The Supreme Model’ concluded on Tuesday after conducting a slew of social and religious activities in Hubballi.

Maulana Ahmed Siraj Umari Qasmi had launched the campaign with a public talk about the life of Prophet Mohammed on October 17 at Jamat’s office located at Bhandiwadbase in Hubballi. Briefing about the campaign’s motto, Jamat’s local president Er. Murtaza Abdul Khader Belagali had said that the campaign is aimed at promoting moral values, and strengthening goodwill among human beings.

As part of the campaign, a blood donation camp was organised at ‘Dawat Ghar’ in Keshwapur on October 19. More than 50 volunteers donated the blood during the camp. A certificate of appreciation, donation card, and refreshments was given to each donor as a token of gratitude. A team of doctors and para-medical staff from Karnataka Institute of Medical Staff collected the blood.

On October 20 and 21, volunteers of the Jamat cleaned the qabrastan (graveyard) located at Gavi Oni. Jamat member Abdul Rasheed Nadaf led the cleanliness drive. He said, “Cleanliness is of great importance in Islam. Therefore we voluntarily organised this drive and our volunteers participated in it enthusiastically.”

Under Masjid Darshan programme, on 23 and 24 of this month, doors of mosque were opened for people from other religions. “We felt joyous in receiving our Hindu brothers in the masjid who viewed each corner and pillar here,” Dr. Fazal Gehlot, convenor of the campaign, said and added “plantation of saplings, hospital visit were among the other programmes held as part of the campaign.”

Jamat’s senior members Maulana Syed Abdul Haseeb, Maulana Liyaqat Mulla, and others participated in the activities.
