HUBBALLI, Sept 24: Vande Bharat Express high-speed train would start chugging between Bengaluru-Hubballi by March 2023, said Darshana Jardosh, Union Minister of State for Railways and Textiles.
He announced this while addressing media after attending meeting with MPs of Karnataka in Bengaluru.
This would be the first Vande Bharat express in Karnataka.
A senior Railway official said that 45km of track doubling work between Hubballi-Haveri is yet to be completed. “We will complete it by December 2022 and electrification will be done in two or three months from then,” he said.
