HUBBALLI: After creating havoc in the region for last three days, heavy rain is expected to recede in a couple of days, likely from Saturday, July 24.
According to a report, meteorology experts from Dharwad-based University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS) said, cloudy weather with light to moderate rains would continue in the north-interior Karnataka region for the next one week, but heavy rains would be there only in coastal, ghats, and Malnad areas.
The region received maximum rainfall in last couple of days.
“This was due to monsoon trough created along the coast more than a week ago. July itself is the peak of monsoon,” said UAS Agromet Department head R H Patil.
