Hubballi Cyber Police Becomes Stronger as ACP Shivarja Takes Charge

HUBBALLI, June 14: Ahead of rise in cyber crimes in the twin cities, the State government has appointed police officer Shivaraj Katakbhavi as the head of Cyber Economic and Narcotics Crime (CEN) Police Station in Hubballi.

On Thursday, ACP Shivaraj Katakbhavi took charge as the station house officer (SHO) of the CEN police station in the City.

Before taking this responsibility, ACP Katakbhavi underwent special training ‘Level 1 and 2’ of CID cybercrime wing.

Earlier, in January, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had announced deputing ACP or DySP rank officers as the SHOs of some CEN police stations as the state has been witnessing an increase in cyber fraud cases.

Now the CEN police station of the twin cities has a dedicated officer in the form of ACP which can strengthen the CEN police station.
