Heavy Rainfall: Schools, Colleges in Dharwad District Declared Holiday

DHARWAD, July 23: Deputy Commissioner Gurudutt Hegade announced holiday for all educational institutions in the district, in view of the heavy rainfall. The holiday will be on Monday, July 24.

In a release, the DC said, “In the interest of children’s safety, a holiday has been given to all the Anganwadis, Primary and High Schools, PUCs and Degree Colleges in the district for one day.”

To he DC has further said that this holiday can be reimbursed on Saturday, August 5, by converting the school as full day instead of half day.

However, with the instructions about the holiday being late, the buses carrying the students had already reached the schools.

Incessant rains have been lashing for the last couple of days in all the taluks of the district.
