Hubballi, February 17: The Indian Meteorological Department has said that heavy rain with thunder and lightning is expected in Gadag, Uttara Kannada, Dharwad, Bidar and Kalaburagi districts from February 17 to 19.
The Department has predicted thunderstorms on February 17 and a hailstorm with thunder and lightning in certain places on February 18.
Farmers have been warned to safeguard the harvested chilli, cotton, groundnut, corn and tur from the rainwater. They have also been told not to let their cattle out in open areas.
