Hubballi: Good roads, solid waste management, public toilets, public parks, bus station maintainance and many more civic issues echoed in the HDMC Pre-Budget meeting on Friday.
The citizens also stressed upon transparency in tax collection from various sources.
Taxes must be collected from the properties owned by HDMC, Hoardings & Advertisement and issuance of trade licences. The Budget must focus on good roads, solid waste management, setting up of public toilets, developing public parks, maintenance of bus stations, better footpath, solving traffic issues, providing drinking water and installation of CCTV cameras for women’s safety, the citizens demanded.
Speaking at the meeting, the HDMC Commissioner Dr B Gopalkrishna thanked public for the participation. The HDMC is committed to develop the basic infrastructure in twin city, he said.
