HUBBALLI, May 10: The last date to submit application for ward committees has been extended to 15th May. The citizens are requested to make best use of it, said Shivashankar D Aiholi of Janagraha NGO.
The Hubballi Dharwad Municipal Corporation has invited applications for forming Ward Committees in 82 wards of the twin cities.
Each ward will be having 11 members, presided by the elected Corporator of respective ward. The Committee must comprise two SC/ST members, at least three women members and two representatives of Residents Welfare Committees.
The deadline of 25th April was extended due to fewer applications from citizens.
