Haj House To Be Constructed Near Hubballi Airport’

HUBBALLI,May 23: Karnataka State Haj Committee Chairman Mohammad Roufuddin Kacheriwale stated that there is a plan to construct a Haj House in Hubballi.

Addressing mediapersons here on Saturday, he said, “Authorities have already inspected a four-acre land near Hubballi Airport for constructing the Haj House at a cost of Rs 30 crore.”

The Haj House in Hubballi would make the City an embarkation point for Haj pilgrims from North Karnataka region.

This year, 433 persons are flying for Haj Pilgrimage from Dharwad, Belagavi, Gadag, Haveri, and Uttara Kannada districts. In all, 2,700 pilgrims from the State would leave for Saudi Arabia in June first week.
