Dharwad,May 6:IAS officer Gurudatta Hegde Thursday took charge as Deputy Commissioner of Dharwad district.
Gurudatta Hegde, a 2014 batch IAS officer, was earlier serving as Managing Director of Karnataka Handlooms Development Corporation.
Gurudatta Hegde hails from Honnagadde village of Sirsi Taluk in Uttara Kannada district. After completing primary and highschool education at KE Board School in Dharwad, he secured BE in Electronic Engineering degree from Bengaluru’s RV College. After cracking UPSC in 2014, he served at Bidar, Koppal, Chikkaballapur, Mysuru in different roles.
Earlier DC Nitesh Patil has been transferred to Belagavi.
