Good News: Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission Slashes Power Tariff

The Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission Wednesday gave good news by reducing power tariffs across the State, effective from April 1, 2024.

The tariff reduction would benefit commercial, industrial, and domestic consumers across the state.

Reduction for Domestic Consumers

For the consumers consuming more than 100 units of electricity for domestic use, a reduction of ₹1.10 per unit has been made. At present the rate per unit is 17.

High Tension, LT,  Commercial and Industries

For HT commercial consumers, the energy charges have been reduced by ₹1.25 paise per unit and ₹10 per kVA (kilowatt) for commercial users. Those industries that use HT connections would get reduction by 50 paise per unit. Demand charges have been reduced by ₹10 per KVA.
