DHARWAD: The district reported nine Covid-related deaths and 809 fresh coronavirus cases on Friday, according to the bulletin issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department.
With this, the Dharwad district has a total of 48,556 positive cases so far.
On the brighter side, 529 Covid patients in the district were discharged after they completely recovered. As on Friday, 40,980 people have defeated the coronavirus while 835 people lost the Covid battle in the district.
Gadag district reported the highest single-day spike by recording 530 fresh cases, while 400 people got discharged after recovery. Gadag added five more to its causalities list, which is counting 207 deaths so far.
Haveri saw 387 new cases on Friday while reporting 7 deaths due to Covid-19 complications.
Belagavi saw 1,138 fresh cases; however, this was the only district in the region to see no Covid-related death.
