Hubballi,June 28: A person lost Rs.9, 860 to a fraudster in the name of HESCOM bill updation.
How it Happened ?
Virupakshappa, a resident of Agadi village in Hubballi Taluka received a call from an unknown person saying that his HESCOM Bill is pending and will be updated.
For this despite, Virupakshappa replying that “ he has paid the bill “, the fraudster told him that his bill is still pending and he will help him to renew the bill.
He has asked Virupakshappa to download an app by name “Quick Support “and made him to believe to transfer money of Rs.9, 860 to his account.
Cybercrime police have registered the case.
