Dharwad To Begin Vaccination For 18-44 Age Group From May 10

DHARWAD: Vaccination for those aged between18 and 44 will be available from Monday, May 10 in Dharwad district, Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil announced on May 9.
According to a release, starting May 10, COVID-19 vaccination for the 18 to 44 years age group will be provided at district hospital in Dharwad, KIMS Hospital in Hubballi, and Taluka Hospitals in Kalaghatgi, Kundagol, and Navalgund.
“The inauguration of the vaccination process for the 18 to 44 years age group would be held at KIMS, Hubballi and District Hospital in Dharwad; tomorrow at at 3 pm. While in Kalghatagi, Kundgol, and Navalgund, the vaccination process would begin on May 11,” the DC said in the release.
“Everyday 150 shots will be given at the above mentioned vaccination centers,” Patil added.
No walk-ins allowed
Vaccination will be provided to only those who have registered and scheduled an appointment through the Aarogya Setu mobile application. Walk-ins will not be allowed, he added.
It can be recalled here that there are about 3.26 crore people in the state in this age group and the government would require 6.52 crore doses to fully vaccinate them with two doses.
