Belagavi,June 23: A devotee after performing puja of Lord Krishna unknowingly swallowed the metal statue of lord Krishna and suffered as it got stuck in the middle of his throat.
A 45 years old devotee after swallowing the metal statue developed severe throat pain and swelling in the neck region, when consulted the local doctor, underwent X –Ray and found that the metal statue of lord Krishna got stuck at the centre of his throat.
Later he was advised to go for higher treatment at KLES Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital at Belagavi.
Later, it was confirmed through Endoscopy that the left leg portion of the metal statue got stuck in the oesophagus of the devotee and the doctors of ENT department Dr.Preeti Hazare, Dr.Vinita Metaguddmath and Anesthetist Dr.Chaitanya Kamat performed the throat surgery and the metal statue of Lord Krishna was removed successfully.
