HUBBALLI: After experiencing big potholes on roads, this time it is something different: a massive hole on the road near Ramesh Bahavan in Hubballi’s Keshwapur.
On Saturday morning, a group of alert citizens spotted the dangerous hole on this busy road that leads to the residence of Union Minister Pralhad Joshi.
People here have raised concerns about the negligence being shown by the authorities and the elected representatives. It has led to serious questions on the civic body’s failure to maintain the basic infrastructure.
“Life of people, especially motorists, would be at risk as there are cracks developed on the road beside the hole. The road may cave in if it is not repaired immediately,” a resident said.
Reacting quickly on this issue, Congress leader Rajat Ullagaddimath said, It is ridiculous! Ex CM’s house is some 150 meters & Parliament Affairs Minister’s residence is 100 meters away from this incidental place. It’s nothing but mere negligence of elected representatives; officers & the contractors.”
“Citizens of Hubalbli are watching these negligence developments very closely,” Ullagaddimath added.
