Gadag, Sept 20: Villagers of Menasagi village near Holealur in Gadag district are panicked after a crocodile was reportedly spotted in Malaprabha river near here recently.
According to locals, they wash clothes and take their cattle in the river on various occasions. After the news of crocodile spread, the villagers are scared to go near the river.
The authorities of Gram Panchayat have already alerted people.
They have instructed women and children not to go into the river.
