DHARWAD: The district on Tuesday continued to report over 700 new Covid cases as the district recorded 726 fresh cases of the deadly infection.
According to the data released by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, the district has so far reported 66,047 coronavirus cases, of which, 3,558 are active.
The report says that a 73-year-old man suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) has succumbed to the deadly infection. His symptoms were fever, cough, and breathlessness. He had no co-morbidities. This puts the total Covid-19 fatalities in the Dharwad at 1,327.
On the brighter side, 316 people suffering from the infection were discharged from the hospitals after they completely cured. However, five patients are being treated in the ICUs.
