Covid-19: Karnataka Govt. Announces Strict Measures
In a bid to contain the surge in Covid-19 cases across the State, the Karnataka government has brought in strict measures on Tuesday.
After an all-party meeting chaired by Governor Vajubhai Vala here on Tuesday, the state has imposed a night curfew from April 21 to May 4 from 9 pm to 6 am.
In an order issued on Tuesday by Chief Secretary P Ravikumar, approved by CM Yediyurappa mentioned theatres, cinema halls, gyms, bars, pubs, assembly halls, and religious places to remain shut during the mentioned timeframe.
Schools, Colleges, Educational/ training/coaching institutions, etc. will remain closed. Online/ distance learning shall continue to be permitted and shall be encouraged.
All social/ political sports/ entertainment/academic/ cultural/ religious gathering/ other gatherings and large congregations.
Restaurant and eateries permitted to operate and only take home (parcel) is allowed. All construction activities, civil repair activities are permitted.
Cremation/Funerals to be allowed with a maximum of 20 people.
