Court Orders Seizure of Assistant Commissioner’s Vehicle in Dharwad:
Dharwad,June 25: Second Additional District Court of Dharwad has ordered seizure of vehicle of Assistant Commissioner (Land Acquisition) Ashok Teli for failing to settle land acquisition compensation dues of 1.73 Crores as per its order.
The said office acquired land of a woman farmer Nagavva Lalithakeri of Navalgund taluka and 35 lakh was paid as compensation. This small compensation amount was questioned by the land owners and appealed in the district court.
The court has ordered to settle the balance compensation of Rs. 1.73 Crores as per its order. Even after the court’s order of nine months as the compensation was kept due, the Second Additional District Court of Dharwad has ordered for seizing the vehicle of Assistant Commissioner (Land Acquisition) and accordingly the government vehicle is seized and produced in court.
