UDUPI: Santosh K Patil, a contractor who had accused Rural Development & Panchayat Raj (RDPR) Minister KS Eshwarappa of corruption has committed suicide at a hotel in Udupi.
A native of Belagavi, Patil had reportedly sent whatsapp message to several media houses that he had decided to end his life. It has been reported that he wrote “Minister Eshwarappa is responsible for my death,” in the whatsapp message.
Patil had earlier alleged that he was hired for the construction of over 100 roads, worth Rs. 4 crore in Belagavi. He had written a letter to PM Modi alleging Minister Eshwarappa of demanding 40 % commission to clear his bills.
