City Police Conducts Peace Meeting Ahead of Holi, Ramazan

HUBBALLI, March 24: In a bid to promote harmony and goodwill, coinciding with Rang Panchami, Good Friday, and Ramadan; Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissionerate organised a peace meeting at the Old C.A.R Grounds in Hubballi on Saturday, March 23.

The peace meeting was organized by the Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissionerate under the chairmanship of Police Commissioner Renuka Sukumar.

Spiritual leaders then provided guidance on celebrating festivals peacefully and avoiding any untoward incidents, promoting unity and brotherhood. It was decided to celebrate Holi and Rang Panchami from March 25 to March 29, 2024, with dignity and without allowing any disruptive activities. Additionally, it was advised to refrain from alcohol consumption and using chemical-laden colors during the festivities.

Subsequently, senior police officials addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of celebrating festivals peacefully and in harmony with all communities.

Muru Savira Mutt seer Sri Gurusiddha Rajayogindra Jagadguru Swamiji, Jain Samaj leader Mahendra Singhi, SSK Samaj leader Satish Meharwade, Anjuman E Islam President AM Hindasegeri, ex-MP IG Sanadi, Dalit leader Gurunath Ullikashi, Lingayat Community leader and Mahanagara Palika member Rajanna Koravi, police officials, tehsildars, and municipal corporation officials, and others participated in the meeting.
