Dharwad, Dec 07: A booth-level Officer for Booth No 105 in Hubballi-Dharwad West Assembly constituency has been suspended from government service over dereliction of duty.
Deputy Commissioner Gurudatta Hegde, who is also District Election Officer, slapped the suspension order to Child Development Project Office (Dharwad urban) second division assistant Sachin Naik, who was appointed as the booth-level officer (BLO).
According to a release issued by the DC, Naik did not report to duty during voters’ list special summary revision and door-to-door survey works, and voters’ enrollment special drive. He and gave false excuses and remained absent.
The deputy commissioner has issued an order suspending him from government service with immediate effect, pending departmental inquiry by a competent authority.
