BJP Leaders ‘Threaten’ Aam Aadmi Party Candidates: Complaint Registered

HUBBALLI: Aam Aadmi Party’s district president Santosh Nargund has made serious allegations that BJP candidates have threatened Aam Aadmi Party’s Civic poll candidates in Hubballi.

Informing this to presspersons at Press Club in the city on Wednesday evening, he said that the BJP candidates are daring AAP candidates. “BJP candidates are pressurizing AAP candidates to withdraw their nominations by threatening them and offering money,” Nargund accused.

Former corporator and BJP candidate for Ward No. 36 Rajanna Koravi’s supporters have threatened AAP candidate Mallikarjun Hiremath. Besides this, supporters of the 38th Ward BJP candidate Thippanna Majjige are harassing AAP candidate Mallappa Tadasad to withdraw his nomination. They are also offering him Rs 25 lakh against the withdrawl of the nomination papers, he accused.

AAP leaders have lodged a complaint in this regard at Vidyanagar police station, he added.
