HUBBALLI,June 22: The Karnataka Bandh called by city-based Karnatak Chamber of Commerce and Industry opposing the hike in electricity charges is getting mixed response in Hubballi.
Cloth shops, automobile shops, Jewellery shops remained closed in the city. However, public transport remained unaffected.
The protesters took out a rally from KCCI at J C Nagar to Mini Vidhan Soudha and submitted a memorandum. They raised slogans against the government and displayed placards which read, “We demand fair pricing for stable industrial development.”
