HUBBALLI, May 15: Hubballi-Dharwad police commissionerate has informed that the commissionerate has suspended a police officer and a woman constable attached to Bendigeri police station.
The suspended cops are Bendigeri police inspector C.B. Chikkodi and Woman Head Constable Rekha Havaraddi.
Renuka Sukumar, Hubballi-Dharwad police commissioner, has informed that the cops have been suspended for dereliction of duty.
It is being alleged that Bendigeri police refused to lodge a complaint against murder accused Vishwanath alias Girish when the family members of Anjali had knocked the doors of Bendigeri police station. Now, the family members of the deceased are saying that Anjali would have been alive if the Bendigeri police had taken action on that day.
