Hubballi,Aug 02: Aam Aadmi Party activists demanded that the members of the corporation are accusing the officers of the HDMP of being involved in corruption, and the corrupt officials should be transferred and disciplinary action should be taken.
The activists, who staged a protest in the premises of the HDMP head office and mini Vidhana Soudha in the city on Monday, accused the ruling BJP members of corrupt officials who were supposed to be engaged in development work. The society needs officers who work honestly and demanded that the government should take strict action.
Party leader Vikas Soppin said, ‘The municipal officials are oppressing the public and charging money for every work. The members expressed their outrage in the general meeting about this. The mayor should expose the corrupt officials and take strict action against them. Otherwise, fierce struggle will be waged in the coming days,’ he warned.
Party leaders Anantha Bugadi, Pratibha Diwakara, Sunanda Karadigudda, Bhimappa Pujara, Mehbub Haravi, Hasan Imandara, Malappa Tadsada, Mallikarjuna Hiremath, Kumar Noolvi, Lakshmana Narasapura, Kishore Shetty, Allagonda Biradara, Santosh Mane, Revanasiddha Hubli, Basavaraja Theradala and Danila Ekos were present.
