Dharwad, June 23: An incident where a housewife Manjula Kailasakur committed suicide after four months of marriage took place yesterday in Navalur village of Dharwad taluk.
Manjula got married four months ago. Manjula, who had come to her home on Ashad, committed suicide by hanging herself from a tree near the house.
The cause of this suicide is not known. If an abnormal death occurs within one year of marriage, according to the rules, the Tahsildar has to visit the place and conduct an inquiry.” Tahsildar Santhosh Hiremath visited the mortuary of Dharwad District Hospital and got the information.
A complaint has been registered in this regard at the Vidaygiri Police station.
