HUBBALLI, Oct 28: A terrifying incident occurred near Akshay Park on Gokul Road, where a rabid dog reportedly attacked and injured more than 30 people indiscriminately.
According to media reports, the dog bit numerous individuals, most of whom are residents of Gokul Road. So far, 16 people have been admitted to KMC Hospital, while others are receiving treatment at various private hospitals.
It is suspected that the rabid dog was a pet that its owner released onto the streets after it became aggressive. Locals reported seeing the dog roaming around Gokul Road, still wearing a collar, and targeting children, elderly people, youth, and women alike. The continuous attacks have created a sense of fear and anxiety among the public.
The dog has now been rescued.
