Cops Prevent Murder in Old-Hubballi. Gang with Lethal Weapons Arrested

HUBBALLI, June 22: At a time when Hubballi is witnessing more crime scenes, cops in Hubballi Hubballi saved a man from getting murdered.

On the night of June 19, the Old Hubballi police found that a gang is suspiciously roaming around Siddharooda Mutt area.

Immediately, Old Hubballi police inspector Suresh Yallur and his team rushed to the spot in plain clothes. They took 2 suspects in the custody and launched the inquiry.

During the inquiry, they found that there are seven persons in the gang and they are fully prepared to kill an Old Hubballi resident Deepak Dharwad.

Hubballi-Dharwad police commissioner Renuka Sukumar said that the gang had ordered two knives from e-commerce portal Amazon

Then the Old Hubballi police arrested six members of the gang and seized lethal weapons from them. One person managed to escape.

The arrested are Manjunath Panchan, Pavan Gabbur, Vinayak Dundi, Nagaraj Mirajkar, Rajappa Hanamanahalli, and a minor boy. Two talwars, two knives, two bikes, and an autorickshaw were seized from the arrested. Another accused Ganesh Bilana is absconding.

Hubballi-Dharwad police commissioner Renuka Sukumar said that the gang had ordered two knives from e-commerce portal Amazon.

“Ganesh had formed a team with a plan to murder Deepak, due to differences between them over financial matters,” the commissioner added.

Commissioner Renuka Sukumar congratulated Old Hubballi police inspector Suresh Yallur and his team for preventing the murder.
