Big Relief To Law Students: HC Directs KSLU To Promote 3rd & 5th Sem Students

DHARWAD: The High Court Bench at Dharwad on Tuesday quashed the Karnataka State Law University’s examination notification which was scheduled to be held from December 15 (Wednesday).

After hearing the petition filed by the students of KSLU, Justice Chandangoudar passed order on Tuesday evening. The court has also ordered the University to promote the second and fourth semester students of five-year LLB course to the next semester, based on internal evaluation. The order will apply to all KSLU affiliated law colleges across the State.

It is however not yet clear about how the KSLU would conduct the examinations pertaining to other semesters of five-year LLB course as the court has clearly restricted its order to second and fourth semesters.

Law students from various parts of Karnataka have been on indefinite strike for over a week demanding cancellation of the offline examination. The High Court order has brought a big relief to them.
