HUBBALLI: A pillion-rider woman died and the rider injured after the bike they were riding on met with the accident with a lorry near Kadasiddeshwar College in Vidyanagar here on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Basamma.
The woman was run over by the lorry when she fell off the bike after the two-wheeler was hit by the heavy vehicle. She reportedly died on the spot. The youth rider is said to have suffered injuries and is being treated at KIMS.
