HUBBALLI, JANUARY19: Dr Suresh Itnal, commissioner of the Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation, has been promoted to IAS cadre.
A 2006-batch KAS officer, Dr Itnal is a native of Hunasikatti village of Kittur taluk, Belagavi district. He completed his probation as assistant commissioner of Hassan district, before working as assistant commissioner in Haveri, Savanur and Dharwad.
Dr Itnala was also appointed as additional deputy commissioner of Koppal, Belagavi, Uttara Kannada and Dharwad. For the last one and a half years, he has been working as commissioner of the HDMC.
The government has now promoted Dr Itnal to IAS cadre.
