DHARWAD: Two staff nurses of Dharwad district hospital were killed on the spot in an accident between a lorry and a bike near Kalaghatagi’s Tambur Cross on Hubballi-Karwar highway on Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as Noor Ahmed Belagam (38), and Javed Pathan (42).
According to a complaint filed in the police station, speed and careless driving of the lorry driver is the main reason behind the accident.
Kalaghatagi police have visited the spot and launched the investigation.
