Hangal, Nov 30: A 16-year-old student poured petrol on himself and set fire at Dolleshwar village in the taluk on Tuesday and died at KIMS in Hubballi.
The deceased has been identified as Aditya Raghuveer Chauhan.
Chauhan was a student first year PU student of NCJ College of Hangal. He was residing at the residence of his grandmother at Dolleshwar.
According to media reports, Aditya’s father filed a complaint at Hangal police station, alleging that his son committed suicide as he was upset after the college principal insulted and abused him.
