HUBBALLI, May 24: North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) has suspended a driver and a conductor after a video of the driver went viral on social media.
In a viral video, NWKRTC bus driver Hanumantappa Killedar was seen driving a bus while holding an umbrella with one hand and driving with other amid heavy rainfall on Thursday. The video was reportedly made at 4:30 pm on Thursday.
Conductor Anita H.B, who recorded the video, has also been suspended. The bus was moving from Uppinabetageri to Dharwad.
According to NWKRTC Director Priyanga M, passengers were not there in the bus when this incident took place. He drove the bus holding an umbrella for fun,” she said.
