DHARWAD,Jan 29: IAS officer Divya Prabhu GRJ has taken charge as the new deputy commissioner of Dharwad district replacing Gurudatt Hegde who served as the deputy commissioner of Dharwad for nearly two years.
A 2014 batch IAS officer, Divya Prabhu GRJ is a native of Tamil Nadu. After clearing the UPSC exams in 2014 she was appointed as assistant commissioner of Lingasgur in Raichur district. Later, she was transferred to Ballari City Corporation as Commissioner. She was elevated to Chief Executive Officer of Mandya zilla panchayat. Before being appointed as the deputy commissioner of Dharwad, she was the DC of Chitradurga.
Divya Prabhu in her 10 year experience as administrator, has bagged national award under Rashtriya Swacch Sarvekshana Abhiyaan during her service in Chitradurga.
Gurudutt Hegde has now been transferred as Shivamogga deputy commissioner in place of Dr Selvamani R.
