HUBBALLI: Three persons were arrested on Friday for allegedly robbing Hubballi businessmen.
In this connection, the Ankola police arrested Umesh Bhimappa Bankapur (21), Rohit Parushuram Vaddar (21), and a minor whose identity has been withheld.
Background Of The Case
Hubballi-based businessmen Vinod Balachandra and Keval Chand were returning to Hubballi from Uttara Kannada district after supplying electronic goods on Wednesday late night.
On reaching Mastikatte village on National Highway-63 in Ankola, the two bike-borne approached Vinod and Keval. The miscreants broke their car glass, assaulted them and made away with Rs six lakh cash near.
The Ankola police, who had filed a highway robbery case against the miscreants, arrested the trio on Friday.
